Papillon Resort - Chaweng (Koh Samui)

The hotel clearly shows signs of age with well-worn towels and outdated room features. The shower controls are woefully high, requiring taller guests to stretch to use them, while sink water only offered a cold option. The surrounding beach area was littered with debris and the actual photos showcased online didn't reflect the current state accurately.

The standard room is spotless and has a mini bar fridge, air conditioning, and a personal safe. The location is stunning, we could see garden. A good restaurant which the staff was very friendly and helpful is available.

I particularly enjoyed the cleanliness of my bungalow and the lovely on-site restaurant serving delicious Thai food.

The towels could use renewal.

perfect location of the hotel, just walking distance from anantara spa. it takes about 15 minutes to walk to chaweng beach. it is near the airport. free parking on-site was provided.

The sea view from my room offered a beautiful escape.

I found the beds uncomfortable. I could feel the springs in the mattress. The location felt quite isolated, with limited dining options. It required a 20-minute walk or a short taxi ride to reach Chaweng's main area, a bit challenging for me.

The friendly staff helped us rent a scooter right away, making it easy to explore the island. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of breakfast, rivaling even the best local restaurants.

The atmosphere was perfectly serene, just what I needed to unwind. The staff was friendly. I particularly loved the spacious room with a beautiful sea view that added to my relaxation.

The swimming pool area was well-maintained, though I hardly used it, appreciating instead the quiet of my private patio. While there were a few signs of wear in the facilities, the warmth of the staff compensated for any shortcomings.

Super chill place!

This spot was just awesome. The owners really hooked us up with tips for local spots. We enjoyed breakfast by the beach, and it was legit! The only thing was the wi-fi was kinda weak in our bungalow, so that was a bit annoying when sharing pics.
